Any ideas what hops go into this - a friend has asked me to have a go, but the only clue on the website is 'English'. I 'phoned, but no luck...

I've never tasted it so I really don't know but if they're saying English hops then there's a high chance of there being Fuggles and/or Goldings in there and possibly even Challenger or Target as the bittering hops.
Best wishes

Taken from Real ale pub online -

Bronze Medal winner 'Best Bitters' Category (4.1-4.5%) SIBA South West Region Beer Competition 2008. Silver Medal winner 'Best Bitter' Tuckers Maltings Beer Festival (SIBA SW) 2007. Made using only the best quality Maris Otter, Crystal and Wheat malts and a combination of the choicest Challenger and Styrian Golding hole hops, this award winning golden ale delivers zesty, fruity flavours leading to a smooth, rounded finish and bags of aroma. Simply gorgeous!

I'd Say Challenger for bittering - Styrian's for late hop.
