Is there such a thing as overdoing the hops?

I have just bought some very cheap Cascade....

Thoughts folks?

It all depends on how bitter you want it and how long you are willing to wait for it to mellow if its a bit ott at the start. So IMHO, no!

Not much more bitter.

100g of cascade added though. What do you think? Was reading about a Pliny the younger clone that had 3 x 3(1.25oz/35g) dry hop additions, 300+g of dry hops mmm. Got all excited.

I'm sure it will be a cracker! How long do you plan to dry hop for?

I think I am going to do two rounds a week with each. In two hop bags. 155g of dry hops is the most I have ever put in a beer. The smaller bags are going to hopefully get a better level of utilisation out of them.

Going to weight them then tie a bit of string so I can move them about and lift them out when I am done. I think I am going to be slightly paranoid with the sanatisation of this guy. Too many hops could potentially go to waste.
