Hop Juice pale ale recipe

Post by bod » Sat Feb 10, 2007 3:30 pm

here's my recipe from last weekends brew. it was the first in my new brewery set up, but i was unable to get the taps i needed to hook up my pump, so it was all gravity feed and then i had to lift the (full) boiler back up to the work top so i could connect the chiller...... :x

its based on the little creatures pale ale, which uses chinook hops, but i only had target on hand. either way, so far its a taste explosion!!!! depending on how it turns out, i might drop the target hops a little, so far its reeeeeally bitter, but that should fade and mellow a bit over time. i'll let you know!

i brewed twice last weekend, the other was more of a session ale version of this, (only 4%), but using amarillo hops in marginally lesser quantities than in this.
