Another Blonde Beer

Post by Nunfa1 » Mon Jun 28, 2010 12:45 pm

Hi there, I'm going to try and create a blonde beer for wives and lager drinkers to enjoy. So far I've come up with this:

35 litre brew length to 1038

49% Pale Malt
49% Lager Malt
2% torrefied Wheat

hops to 25 IBU's

Hallertauer 90min 40g
Saaz 90min 40g
Hallertauer 15min 30g
Saaz 15min 30g

I'll probably use Nottingham although S-05 could also be an option.

My question is, what does lager malt bring to the beer taste wise? How would it differ if I just used all pale malt?

Thanks
