Yellow Hammer

While on Holiday in Devon I had the joy of drinking some Yellow Hammer on draft and Bottles. This was a wonderful beer.

So I have put together a recipe inspired by on Yellow Hammer. Unfortunately I don’t have all the correct hops. It should have First Gold hops as the main hop and a late hopping with Cascade. Also the info on the Bottle says it only has Pale Malt and Caramalt in there.

I tend to use some Munich Malt in most of my beers to give a Malt profile more like the commercial breweries. However it was only after I finished and clearing up I noticed I’d got Caramunich by mistake. What sort of difference in taste does it make instead of Munich?

Should make an interesting brew.

For 6 Gallon 27.5 Litres brew length.

4000 Pale malt
500 Caramalt
500 Caramunich
Hopped to 28 IBU
40 Grams Syrian Golding 90mins
20 Grams Challenger 90 mins
15 Grams Cascade 15 mins
Brewlab Boarder Yeast
