This was nearly todays Stout

Post by WishboneBrewery » Sun Aug 15, 2010 6:18 pm

I nearly brewed today, but took so blooming long to settle on a recipe I decided to sack the idea for another week and reek havoc with some weeds in the garden :)
I'll brew this next week to fill a Cornie, hopefully it will be a smooth, easy drinking Stout :) Will ferment with Safale s-04.
General purpose water treatment with a little extra Calcium Chloride for Malty body.

I do like the look of that grain bill and for my next regular stout will try something similar.
Is Saaz a strange choice of late hop for a stout or have you used it before?

I've spotted Saaz as late hops in Durden Park recipes for Irish stout.
