I've got lots of odds and ends of dark malts that need using, so it must be time for that most forgiving of brews, a stout!
Use-it-up Stout:
2500g Pale Malt
1500g Flaked Barley
50g Roast Barley
250g Choc Malt
100g Brown Malt
100g Black Malt
250g Extra Dark Crystal Malt
40g Challenger - full boil
10g Challenger - flame-out
S04 Slurry
So, will this be a confused hotch-potch or a delightful marriage of diversity?
It's a high proportion of flaked barley, but i have used that proportion in a bitter before and it was good and creamy.

Re: Use-it-up Stout
Serve it in a bowl with a spoon!
I've not made a stout like that for ages, once I've constructed my new mash manifold and hop filter I think it's time to brew something up in readiness for Autumn
