old timer
Re: old timer
Hallo,
I have made Old Timer many times before and am so impressed with the Dave Line recipe that I use this as my stock real ale recipe for all my beer making. I have no idea if it is anything like the true bottled Old Timer, but it has a great hoppy taste, good strength, in short a real, real ale. I have experimented with the recipe slightly, by leaving back a handful of the fuggles hops and only adding them after fermentation is over, so called dry hopping. This makes a slight improvement in my opinion.
Cheers.
