Jaipur Experiment

Post by farleyman » Fri Jan 07, 2011 9:41 pm

Well, had a go at andybiochems recipe.
Only two deviations;
1 Could not get Ahtanum hops so used simcoe.
2 Wanted it a bit more estery so used s-o4 yeast.
Otherwise as per recipe.

Just nearing the end of the primary and the yeast
is dropping nicely.(pitched 30 gms).
Lost a lot of wort in the hops, ended up with 15 litrs.
at 1071.
Smells stunning.

Will keep you posted.

Correction
The Iaipur OG is 1061 and not 1071 as stated.

1071 is the og. of the Broughton Old Jock
clone next to it.

Hello soupdragon,

The picture of the pre-menstrual meercat is most intriguing.
Did you keep them as pets at some time or is it the logo for
your brewery?
I havn`t a clue what the `Jaipur`is going to turn out like
so I`ll hold the recipe until it`s somewhere near.
Just go back into the`grain brewing questions strand if you want to see it.

Oddly, I am currenttly reading the autobiography of Aleksandor Orlov who appears
in the `Compare the meercats.com` advert. Very interesting.

If it`s drinkable I`ll bring some to the Cheshire Group Feb. meet, Shane.

Later f

Hello all,

It`s probably better to carry on this subject on the Grain Brewing
Questions strand where you can see the recipe and
comments from its creator.
Go back to page 9 and `Jaipur Recipe`.

Many thanks, f
