It is quite hard to interpret to be honest, with all the hop bursting.

My all Columbus IPA was pretty good but it needed some time to age out. I reckon this is because US-05 is so dry, my preference would be for nottingham or WLP001 California ale yeast next time or an English strain. Columbus are quite piney/orangey and do well with a bit of malt sweetness to back it up.

My Columbus Pale Ale is in bottles at the moment. My malt bill was virtually the same as yours, same yeast and similar hopping. I hopped at 60, 30, 15 and loads at flame out. I did a hop-rest and dry hopped with about 23g. I'm rather happy with the outcome. Only thing I'm not the keen on is a certain candyfloss type aroma/flavour, I've no idea how it happened? I think mine needed more early hops for more bitterness. I wouldn't say Columbus has a very strong Orange/Pine flavour, more dry and like a haysack with dandilions.

I've not made an all Columbus, but used it in the late and dry stages. Very unique hop. I definitely got the piney/orange aroma that mysterio noticed.

I know what you mean about candyfloss, i thought they smelled like boiled sweets. liked the smell but not sure if i'd single hop with them, a bit too unique an aroma for me.

Boiled sweets, that's a good description of it.

I did a Tomahawk IPA last year and it worked out very well. IIRC, mine had about 8% munich in it or something to give it a bit of maltiness. Lovely hop, but it mellows quite a bit in the bottle compared with some. :)
