Winter Warmer

Going to put together a winter warmer in time for Christmas so I can sit in a chair and go red and laugh at everyone.

Recipe: Bad Panda Winter Warmer
Style: 8C-English Pale Ale-Extra Special/Strong Bitter
25L Brew Length
Target OG: 1.065
Target FG: 1.017
Target ABV: 6.4%
Target IBU: 33.7
BU:GU Ratio: 0.52
Target Colour: 20.8SRM

Fermentables
5kg Maris Otter (70.4%)
1kg Medium Crystal (14.1%)
1kg Amber Malt (14.1%)
100g Chocolate Malt (1.4%)

Hops
50g Bramling Cross (6.0%AA) - 60 mins
25g Bramling Cross (6.0%AA) - 20 mins
25g Bramling Cross (6.0%AA) - 0 mins

Fermentation
2 Sachets SafAle S-04

Drat, out of choc malt. Well, had 28g left in a pack. Nearest thing I have is black, so 72g of black has gone in as well.

Hell yeah, know that feeling...

Bottled up my Christmas ale yesterday, had a taste whilst bottling of course, had a bit of a headache this morning. Means it is probably bang on.

Hope so, though in my brewday thread I missed the OG by 5 points. And have a bit less of a brew length! It'll be fine though.
