london pride help
I have knocked this up a couple of times using graham wheelers BYOBRA recipe but its just not doing it for me.
I personally think it needs more late hops
so was going to explore a few avenues
1) drop the goldings in favor of a hit of challenger and northdown both at 10mins and at 0mins
2) wack in more goldings at 10 and 0mins
3) try fuggles as an alternative to goldings
Has anyone else tried any of the above - your findings and thoughts would be appreciated

Re: london pride help
I wouldn't replace the Goldings with challenger, I don't think Challenger work too well as a late hop.
If you want more late hops, add the 10g Goldings at 10 mins, add 10g Goldings at 5 mins and another 10g at 1 minute, you should notice some difference. Make sure you dry hop with some Goldings as well.

cheers steve
I was swaying towards the golding idea
was thinking of dumping in 25g @ 10min, 25 g @ 0min and then dry hops
will let you know how this goes.

Re: london pride help
I think 25 g at 10 min , and 25g at 0 min will be fine.
It's just a case of increasing the Goldings I think, but you obviously don't want to go too mad or it will be a bit unbalanced.

Cool..I use BL too, it gets reasonably close for me, but you can certainly tell the difference.
