Anyone else had a go at this? Thornbridge devised an Oatmal Stout recipe you can find on the BrewUK website. And then, contraversially, throwing tradition off a 20th-floor balcony, they went and bunged LOADS of late hops into it.
I thought I'd have a stab at it: Matt's Beer Kitchen - Thornbridge Oatmeal Stout
Initial tastes I've had of it from Gravity samples, have been, um, not bad but not great. Surprisingly the late hops aren't really coming over - the the harshness of the roasted barley still quite prominent, and needs to mellow out.

Re: Thornbridge Oatmeal Stout
Bit of a late reply, but ah well!
I've just made my second batch of this as it went down a storm at a recent party and everyone begged for more! Personally I think it's one of the best I've ever made. I used the S-04 yeast and managed an OG of 1.048 and a FG of 1.010 in around 10 days, I put some details on my blog a while ago and will finish off the full series from the photos I took over the weekend. How did your brew turn out in the end? I have mine in cornies with pub gas and the final product looked amazing. I've made 25l this time so 6l will be going for bottle conditioning and the rest on pump.
