A user-upper Mild.

Another "is this daft?" thread. I've not brewed this style before, neither have I had much of it to drink. Is that much Carafa and Chocolate going to be too harsh? I have Pale Crystal, Roasted Barley and Amber also to play with. Is late-hopping this style just not allowed?

For a mild its an awful lot of hops you want more malt than hops, I'd also lose the lager malt use all MO, add crystal and ditch the carafa...that said thats only to try and follow the guide lines , just go with your gut and brew beer you like :D

I've slept on this idea and decided to scrap it. The reason for including such a lot of hops was because this will be the first brew I've done with English hops and I wanted to taste them. So what I'm going to do is a very simple, all-Fuggles bitter recipe with a fair whack of late hops and a simple grain bill of MO, Pale Crystal and Wheat Malt.
