It says on t'internet "North American hops"... don't think cascade are in there, not sure...
Pale Rider
Re: Pale Rider
Hi - ever get any answers to this? It's a great beer and in serious need of cloning.

Re: Pale Rider
Kelham Island seem to keep this one close to their chest, but I know they use a lot of Wilamette and Mt. Hood in their other beers. I reckon they might be the dominant (or only?) hops in Pale Rider too.
The Fat Cat (Kelham Island owned pub) beer menu mentions a mix of British and European malts. I would say it's probably 90-95% MO with the rest most likely being Munich.
An OG of 1.052 and 35-40 IBU would probably get you in the ball park.

If you go for a tour of the brewery (did this myself) they tell you exactly what grains and hops they use, likely they won't give you the exact details on how much of each one but would give you a better idea.Befuddler wrote:Kelham Island seem to keep this one close to their chest, but I know they use a lot of Wilamette and Mt. Kellam Island is the one I'm on about. Thanks for the info chaps. I tried making this using US cascade and willamette and it wasn't even close, not bad but not PR.
