Posted up on thbf by an american brewer who doesn't seem to post on Jim's. I don't know their beers but thought it might be of interest.

Thanks, hadn't seen these. Their IPA is excellent. I quite like their porter, too.

Forgive my ignorance but they use a lot of C 120, what is that?

Crystal 120, it has an EBC of 320, dark crystal is about 205 and extra dark is 358, so somewhere in the middle I assume...

Hello,

C120, should be an EBC of about 240, you double the value to get from Lovi/SRM to EBC.

Stone brewery also have all the home brew recipes on there website for the epic ale series, some big beers in that list!

Your right. multiply by 1.97. to convert SRM to EBC.
