I also aim to use 500g Carafa special 3 cold steeped.

Hi!

Looks good, the second recipe will probably get you a more balanced beer...

Is this your take on a black pale ale(IPA)?

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Should have some flavour in that, nice hop combo, although the citra might dominate =P~
Had some Cascadian Dark a while ago, couldn't really make my mind up about it. I'll have to try some more next time I see it, just for research purposes you understand :)

Cheers Tom

Would you edit the hops to over come that and if so how?

I modded the grain yet again...

I'm hoping this will be a tad fuller.

I'd probably replace the Citra with something like Amarillo or Chinnook. Failing that I'd cut the amount of Citra in half as they're not really that subtle :-)

I do love Citra though :-)

You wouldn't have done my last but one brew then 54g at flame out.

Thanks for you input Tom.

Wouldn't mind a few other opinions on this one.

Got an all Citra brew on the go at the moment.
30g 20 mins before the end of boil, 30g 10 mins before the end and 40g steep.
Looking forward to it :D
