hi, i was given this recipie for brewers gold for a 30 litre brew length,
5.7 kg of lager mal.
18 grams brewers gold hops for all of boil.
1 teaspoon of protofloc 15 mins from end of boil.
150 grams at end of boil
and ferment cool with w.l.p 022 whatever that means.
if i was to make larger quants say up to 160 brew length, in a 200litre kettle if that sounds right, do i just pro rata the ingredients or is their another formula. Neil.

Re: brewers gold
Yes, theoretically it's just a matter of multiplying everything by the same factor. In the real world, bigger systems are more or less efficient at different stages compared to a small homebrew rig. But the commercial brewers I've interviewed about this simply multiply everything out as a starting point, brew it, observe the differences at each step in order to fine-tune things next time. More than anything, it's a matter of knowing how your gear performs.
