It'll be fine. I used a First Gold average in my calculations. Homegrown hops don't differ from commercial ones as much as people fear. The beer will still taste great even if the total IBU is a little above or below our predictions.

Yes, I believe so. I'm no water chemist, but I find a bit of gypsum in the boil really makes the hops pop later!

Thanks Seymour, 100g of those homemade hops so I'm going to chuck the rest in at flameout. Stuck mash now, having to cook dinner in my garage whilst brewing as we have the kitchen in bits. Pain in the arse. But it does mean i get the old kitchen units for my garage making a lovely brewhouse! thanks again.
