can any lads help with a DD recipe extract/partial would be great for now if it is at all possable but an all grain would be good as well.
i have seen a few aussie attempts but it just lacks somthing i remember drinking a pint in england and didn't mind it . and would love to have a go at one.

i have the old dave line book is this recipe right not looking for a clone but a good representation.

thanks in advance.

gee this is the best home brewing forum you lads are so friendly and have a fantastic sense of humour and a bit of blue humour as well .

i feel right at home here i cant stay away. it feels as if i have found my utopia
and as i cant get over to see you all you are like long lost friends.
i will have to start planning a trip over with wifey and kids rent a camper for a month and visit . will start looking in to it and get my british parsport renewed.
don,t care much for the touristy stuff but the sites smells and pub tours and castles breweries and villages is what will be on the agnda.

I just left out the saccharine tablets from Dave's recipes and didnt really notice the difference to be honest . I think Bigster is brewing some Double diamond soon, I wonder if hes using barley syrup ?

This info is going back quite a few years as I don't know what wholesalers currently carry.......but......

If you find a homebrew shop that deals with Youngs Wholesale then they did used to stock barley syrup (think it was a 500grm tub) and maybe the shop could order some in for you.

ok after posting just realised OP is in Oz, not a lot a good that bit of info I gave then really
cheers & best regards

You could up your grain bill and brew the original Double Diamond which was a draught bitter at around OG 1050 :D
