I've been banging on about that as long as I have brewed.
Only two things I'd change in LB's recipe, decrease crystal to 5% and replace 10% of Pale Ale with Munich. Tomato, tomahto...

Recipe looks good, I brewed something similar a while back... Seven Hills a nod to a certain bitter I grew up with which is now a shadow of its former self..
I saw it cans recently and it's dropped from 4.4 to 3.7 abv in little over 20 years... I dread to think what it tastes like
It went the same way as several other beers- from much loved bitter to national brand heavy marketing replacing the brewers art...
Anyway back to op looks good although I feel the same about mash temp and yeast choice as already mentioned...

Last month, as an experiment, I brewed a BOB which is a black version of my ordinary bitter recipe.
I'm just here for the beer.

I'm afraid we don't get too many true-to-style English bitters over here, which is part of the reason I love reading posts like this on an English site, populated by English drinkers and English brewers like yourself.
On that recent Dark Mild No.3 of mine, I split into two fermentors with different yeasts. The one with dual-strain English ale yeast finished drier and with a higher ABV. Since it's a medium reddish copper colour, it seems like it might be more like an ordinary bitter as you say, than truly a dark mild. I submitted it to a BJCP competition as a bitter, just to see what the judges say. I'll get the results in a couple weeks, so I'll let you know if you're interested.
