Ok guys.
So after I've brewed the RyePA here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=64464 this weekend, I have a very special occasion to brew for. One that requires a certain special beer.
My wife and I are expecting our first child on the 13th March, and I'd like to brew a special beer to mark the occasion. I already have a name for the beer. Simply "+1".
It doesn't have to be ready before the due date, just so I know I've got something in stock or maturing for the right moment to share and "wet the baby's head".
This is what I have in stock, and I'd be willing to buy some other stuff if it'll turn into a super fine beer!
Malts:
CaraGold 1kg
CaraAroma 500g
Flaked Rye 150g
Black Malt (tonnes!)
Roast Barley (tonnes!)
Low colour Chocolate Malt (750g)
Body Brew (300g)
Hops 100g's unless stated:
Summit
Bravo
Ahtanum (300g)
Magnum (80g)
Exp 366
Centennial
Cascade
4x Packs of US-05 and 1 of Belgian Saison yeast (Malt Miller).
A what can brew with these... [Special edition thread]

Congratulations, though I must say I'm glad I'm past all that. You'll be needing some base malt of course. I think with the hops you have and the yeast, you could go for a nice hoppy APAAnthonyD wrote:Ok guys.

Congrats to you.....
There's one beer that's been on my mind to brew for a while now... It's PDTNC's low alcohol highly late hopped pale ale with EXP366 and summit.

Might be just the thing for newly responsible adults

Congrats
+1 on the low alcohol especially if the little *** doesn't sleep.
You could do two. One low and a keeper that will age with the baby. Barley wine or strong Belgium perhaps
