I have cartloads of dark beers and stouts, time for me to make a US style hoppy summer drinker. Having found a few recipes here and there and an order from MaltMiller I have come up with a nod in the direction of Pliny:
Quintillius Varus 23Lt 1073-1017(?) 7-8% 151Ebu
Extra Pale Malt 7000
caramalt (30) 250
munich (25) 250
I have 200g each of colombus and simcoe and 100 of centennial. I also have some cascade pellets.
What do you think of the malt bill? I have some crystal and torry wheat. I think there should perhaps be brewing sugar too in order to reduce the FG. I hope to do this on Monday so any help would be much appreciated.
Oh I have two packs of US05 too.

Wow, if you think Pliney is a nice summer drinker I bet you would be a load of fun to drink with (assuming that is if one could survive it). I bought all the hops to brew a Pliney clone myself (cost about $15 bucks which is damn cheap for that much hops) and I'm just afraid I'll kill myself if I put that stuff into my keg system. Not being the sharpest stick in the shed I know I'll just do it anyway.

Drinking:Saison (in bottles), Belgian Dubbel (in bottles), Oud Bruin (in bottles), Olde Ale (in bottles),
Abbey Triple (in bottles), Munich Helles, Best Bitter (TT Landlord clone), English IPA
Conditioning: Traditional bock bier, CAP
Fermenting: Munich Dunkel
Next up: Bitter (London Pride like), ESB
So many beers to make, so little time (and cold storage space)
