Had this on tap the other night .....really nice pint :D

Was wondering if anyone's come across a clone on their internet travels.

Thanks in advance

This beer has been marketed under two names. It was part of a single hop series here in the States, and brewed again as a collaboration with Marstons/Banks over there.

Everyone's just trying to cash in on the success of my Citra Gold recipe, if you ask me. :) Just kidding of course. As usual, a little oatmeal and a more estery English ale yeast would be easy upgrades.

Green Flash Hop Odyssey series: Citra Session (in the US) or Banks's/Green Flash Collaboration: Citra Session (in the UK)
Brewery Green Flash Brewery, San Diego, California, USA
Style: Session IPA
ABV: 4.5%
Grainbill: Maris Otter, Vienna Malt (my guess is 90%/10%)
Hops: 100% Citra for full bittering addition, flavour and aroma additions, and dry hops
IBU: 40
Colour: golden amber
Yeast: "Chico strain": most popular US microbrewery strain. Sierra Nevada got it from Siebel archive, which got it from historic Ballantine Brewery in New Jersey, supposedly a UK ale strain originally selected by their Scottish brewmaster. Same as Sierra Nevada bottles, Siebel BRY96, WLP001, Wyeast 1056, Safale US-05, and BSI-1, BSI A-56 & 96.

Sorry, Andy, for all the delays.

I honestly don't know Banks's/Green Flash's exact hopping regime. But for a typical 5 Imperial gallon/22.7 liter batch, the following guess should land you in the same 40 IBU range:

≈25 g for 60 minute boil, ≈15 g for last 15 minutes of the boil, ≈40 g dry hops added after primary fermentation but 7 days before bottling/kegging.

Cheers!

It's definitely Maris Otter with Vienna and not Pale with Vienna?
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

I'm positive it was Maris Otter, in the US at least. Check it out: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/green-flas ... pa/125543/
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Citra Session™ IPA is brewed with high-quality Marris Otter and Vienna malt but the flavor is dominated by the Citra hops introduced throughout the boil and again in the dry hop for maximum aroma intensity. Notes of lemon, orange and grapefruit make this hop-laden brew a perfectly potable summer session IPA.
It seems unlikely that Marstons/Banks's would collaborate with Green Flash to brew an APA in their name, import a ton of Citra hops, then cheap-out on plain base malt. Of course, Maris Otter is a premium pale malt, so both parts of your question are technically true.
