AG28 Bramling X Yorkshire Pale Ale kicked the bucket

This weeks brew expected when i get me delivery of simply



after having some IPA IS DEAD BRAMLING X
this will be my taking it to the masses of cheap hops going in :D

thats near on 1/2 kilo chucked in

getting 1/2 the ibu at 30 mins on this one just to spread out the load a bit

and using 04 fermentis too not the usual 05 or Nottingham
just a mental brew to see what it turns out like

I have been intrigued by the flavour of bramling cross for a while but have never got round to brewing with it. I'd be interested in how you rate this as I know you aren't light on hops in brews. I want to either do a blackcurrant stout/porter or something more out there and give a different hint to a saison.

26 litres into the fermenter cooled to 16c
into brew fridge set at 17.5C max
12.5 brix
1.050 SG

dry hopped with 300 grams

I reckon your abv will be more like 4.5% than 5.5% :(

it's down to 6.5 brix at mo
so looks on target and the final test will be bottling day with hydrometer + refractometer

Those numbers look dodgy. Sean Terrill's algorithm is apparently the best and using it 12.5 equals 1.048 and 6.5 equals 1.012, which then gives about 4.7% abv.
