Hey everyone. Just bottled up our optional hop ipa recipe which was as follows:
23litre brew
6kg maris otter
0.4 medium crystal
28g first gold 75mins
25g challenger 75mins
10g challenger 10mins
10g admiral 10mins
10g simcoe 10mins
10g challenger 5mins
10g admiral 5mins
10g simcoe 5mins
10g each challenger, admiral, simcoe 20min steep
W/labs 001 california ale yeast
Simcoe 70g dry hop. 5days
OG 1058
FG 1011
Mashed in at a higher temp to retain some toffee like sweetness.
Should be ready to drink by feb and really cant wait to see how it turns out. Tasted incredibly tropical wonderfully hoppy when i sampled it while bottling.
Would appreciate any feedback/critique
In the fermenter: motueka SMASH!! Just been dry hopped with 100g of motueka!!!!! Mmmmmmm
