The recipe for the Oatmeal stout is the same to my previous thread What to brew?

Looking good Oblivious. I've always had an oatmeal stout on my to-brew list but never got round to it. I'll be interested to hear how it turns out.

The boil has started, just added the hops! :D

I increased my efficiency to 78%, a personal record with batch sparging! :D

Yea ](*,) , I had also put in additional 20grams of Fuggles at 15 mins, so I hope this may help to compensate for the reduced hop conversion

I don’t really think so, but I over shot my efficenty and it may have rebalanced this

when you talk bout efficency what do you mean

Brewing efficiency is the amount of fermentable material you get from the grain, this is based on a theoretical of 100%, and I normal have it around 70%. From this I can calculate the gravity, but my gravity went up this time and from this I could back calculated that my efficient had increased. But these increases will reduce the extraction of hop acid, so you generally increase the hops to compensate this
