American Red Recipe advice

Hi,

Could you guys let me know what you think of the recipe below for an attempt at a American red ale. Its come about from me constantly changing my mind about what to brew. It started off as a Punk IPA clone, but then i got drinking Ghost ship and really liked the lower gravity very hop forward ale, but then i've brewed a couple of pales recently and my water suits a darker beer so it got turned into a red ale.
I've kept the Punk IPA hop schedule (shamelessly stolen from the malt millers previous incarnation of punkie) but had to substitute Simcoe with Galaxy, not really a substitution but i wanted to get some galaxy in something while i can get it. I also dropped the hopping by about 20% because of the lower gravity.

Red Headed Punk
Target Gravity: 1.045
Bitterness: 40 IBU

5200 Maris Otter 91.15%
350 Cara Aroma 6.13%
100 Acid Malt 1.75%
55g Black Malt 0.96%

12 Min
60g Chinook 13% 29.9IBU

5 Min
20g Galaxy 14.1% 3.7IBU
20g Nelson Sauvin 11% 4.8IBU
20g Ahtanum 3.3% 1.1IBU

Aroma Steep
20g Galaxy 14.1%
20g Nelson Sauvin 11%
20g Ahtanum 3.3%

Dry Hop
20g Galaxy 14.1%
20g Nelson Sauvin 11%
20g Ahtanum 3.3%

Yeast
2 Packs of Mangrove Jacks West M44 West Coast

What do you think, would this give me the elusive red/ruby hue? I have more black malt and some chocolate i could add for colour adjustment but don't have anymore caramel malts.
The beer pictured below was with 5% CaraAroma and no roasted malts so i used that as a start and increased the caraaroma by 1% and added a pinch of black malt.

I think roast barley is a better choice than black malt, but that beer looks pretty red so I'm not sure how much redder any dark malt would make it.

I like your hop mix. I'd go for more IBUs myself, I like red ales with loads of hop bitterness and flavour.

Brewday is under way, i added 5g Eldorado at 90 mins and upped the chinook addition to 66g and all other hop additions to 25g. I also found 400g of mild malt so that went in too for a predicted OG of 1.048 and 49IBU's
