Anyone got close to this beer in AG? I love it, pretty local too but can't find an approximation of the recipe anywhere.

I've not managed it. Dave Line has a recipe which I've tried but it bears no relationship to the original whatsoever. Otherwise I've tried various combinations of pale malt, flaked maize, crystal malt, goldings, sugar, fuggles, progress and brambling cross to make a Harveys style beer (the ingredients listed in the Almananac).

If you use their yeast I've noticed it makes a difference - they'll give you some if you take a sterilised container to the shop.

Let us know how you get on
