Very true, But it does have the Full All Grain ingriedients and quantities listed at the bottom of each page.
I've had it a few years and think it's the best clone book available.

Re: Amazon deal on "Clone Brews"
It came this afternoon, less than 15 hours from ordering
. I have had a skim through it and looks like I will be trying quite a few of these across the different types sometime soon. There is a great choice and variety included. Thanks for advising of it.

I've done the Hitachino nest beer clone from the book (kindle version) and it was tremendous.

Aye that's the brewery. It turned out great and I'd definitely make it again. No idea about the podcast mind but if you find it, let me know please. Their saison is rather nice too.LeeH wrote:That Japanese brewery? Great beer and interesting pod cast with Brad Smith.

Re: Amazon deal on "Clone Brews"
Tempted to get this as i'm starting out with mini mashes. Flicking through the first recipe (33 Export) it gives the details for mini mash.
So a bit confused here, do i subtract 0.9kgs of DME from the recipes 2.3kgs DME and only add in 1.4kgs DME? They also require some ingredients i haven't heard of before, are these available in the UK or what are the alternatives?
Rice Syrup Solids
Corn Sugar
Maltodextrin
Thanks
SB

Re: Amazon deal on "Clone Brews"
Sorry not really understanding your logic - the recipe says add 2.3kg DME, where do you get the subtract 0.9kg from?
I do wish they'd size these recipes for whole 500g or 1kg bags of DME because it clumps up as soon as it hits the moist air, so trying to measure out .3kg and keep the rest of the bag is going to be difficult.
You can get Malrodextrin and Corn Sugar (Dextrose) from homebrew suppliers, not heard of rice syrup solids before.
