And do you reckon if I used bottling stick instead of pouring into the bottles it will make any difference

I do love this beer too, and seeing as second flush of heather is abound round me at the moment, I would like to make it the only thing is I never seen any Bogmurtle round these parts(do H&G stack I wonder?)

I can think of a successful small-scale commercial bottler who uses a jug and funnel.

Embarrassed. I've just had a look at yhe CBA's hastily constructed herbs and spices page http://www.craftbrewing.org.uk/herbsspices/ and notice that the author has mentioned (under Gruit) myrica gale, sweet gale and bog myrtle as if they were different (they're the same). I'll rattle his cage and get him to fix it. There are some suppliers there. If you can't be bothered growing it you could ask O'Hanlons where they get theirs, and congratulate them on their GBBF success while you're at it.

Anyone using the page, read between the lines on some dosing rates. Some are more authoritative than others.

So at the moment thats nothing then

Sorry David, but I have had a couple of sweet sherries and it tickled my sense of humour

On a side note, the CBA site is a mine of information, as a newbie AGer it is filling in some huge gaps in my understanding. Thank you to all the CBA members for such a resource =D> =D>

Is that because you can't see the menu bar or would "these pages" make more sense?

Yes David "these pages" would work far better.
The revised Elderflower page is very good now, and the how much to use page is a very interesting read :=P

And I apologies for my blathering idiocy last night

With a name like P2 a little late night inebriation is understandable.

Anyway the 'these pages' comment was very helpful.

Interesting indeed; just take careful note of the author's experience and the amounts used by other brewers! I'm hoping for some more examples from folks - preferably where the beers have been tasted by others, or at least qualified by a little introspection, eg "5g/l chili - I found it about right, but I'm a vindaloo man".
