Dried Malt Extract Recipes Wanted?

Post by Jim2 » Sat Aug 20, 2022 5:41 pm

I have had a look round this forum and while there is some god copy cat recipes (a lot posted by moderator Jim) sadly they are whole grain barley where you have to cook out the sugar.

I am wanting to go down the road of DME or LME with out the use of ready tins

Anyone a good bank of recipes please?

Try Googling DME beer recipes. Loads will magically appear!

Alternatively, buy a copy of Graham Wheeler’s books. He provides both all grain and extract versions of many English and continental beers with plenty of guidance as to how to make them.

Other books also provide extract recipes.

Jamil Zainasheff’s “Brewing Classic styles” has extract and all grain versions of many beers.

I think I also provided you with a recipe for something like GK Abbott.
Fermenting: Cherry lambic
Conditioning: English IPA/Bretted English IPA, Munich Helles, straight lambic
Drinking: Munich Dunkel, Helles Bock, Orval clone, Impy stout, Porter 2, Hazelweiss 2024, historic London Porter
Planning: Kozel dark (ish),and more!
