Oh my, if you get started on cornie kegs your stuffed, there is no looking back.Tequilla6 wrote:My new bottom tap King Keg has also arrived today along with the grain bill and I can now store over 75L of beer at any one time which I deem enough at the moment. Guess my next storage purchase will be a cornie to at least try then out as well. Then I can decide on which storage system suits me better and sell on my other stuff.

Anyway I digress. Always aim to shoot for more beer at the end of the boil than you actually need to fill your keg(s) assuming you have room in the fermenter(s) for it. It's easy to lose a fair quantity of wort during the boil and to hops and dead-space. If you do end up with more than what you need at the end of it all just make sure you have a spare cola bottle or similar kicking around and put the extra along with some sugar in them (2 level teaspoons works for me in 2ltr bottles). It's a few extra beers that you can go sample with your friends.
