They've changed the brew sheet on their website to reflect the new hops. They've also changed the grist and the ibu is now 35.

I am a frequent Punk IPA drinker, and to be honest, I have not noticed any difference on taste or aroma...

Is it that obvious? Are my taste buds dead?

Thanks for the heads up anyway!

I had a few last weekend and it no longer tastes like punk to me, but very much like thornbridge Jaipur. I love Jaipur but I also loved punk. Shame really.

I've had a couple of the new bottles and it is definitely different.

Still tasty but definitely different

I really could not tell the difference going back to it. My pallet must be rubbish. ..maybe in a back to back?

I don't think it necessarily follows that your palate is rubbish. It's in BrewDog's best interest to make it taste as similar as possible, despite the ever-changing hopbill. The best-revered American IPA brewers are forced to do the same thing, that's the name of the game when using such quantities of highly-coveted hop varieties.

I agree, you'd likely notice subtle differences best via a side-by-side tasting, which isn't really possible, since even if you had an old bottle the hoppy traits will have faded by now...

It's equally true that people who loved the old one, fell in love with insanely hopped New World IPAs, went on to try lots more commercial examples and brew their own magnificent examples...well, their palates have since improved. Perhaps Punk IPA is every bit as good as it always was, but they remember it being better than it is?

i remember trying millstone true grit for the first time about five years or so ago and being blown away by the beers hop character. it's still a great beer but since then
and thanks largely to the knowledge I've picked up from the forum, I've brewed a few decent beers myself using american/new world hops, which perhaps makes true grit
slightly less special than it was.

Your right Seymour. My Palate is ok.... my Pallet is rubbish. One of those wooden ones that I use to keep my beer on...(note to self, check spelling before posting) ;-)
