Re: JBK Own IPA/ALE
A quick update... This is an excellent beer!! The balance between malt and bitterness is bang on. It's very good now, but I think will keep improving in the bottle. I can see this being a repeat brew....

Re: JBK Own IPA/ALE
Hi guys. Is there any way to adjust the thread so that the recipe appears above the first post? Just to save time sifting through all the posts about how amazing it is

Re: JBK Own IPA/ALE
Yes, an excellent idea - I've edited the recipe into the first post (as that was the easiest way to do it).Manngold wrote:Hi guys. Is there any way to adjust the thread so that the recipe appears above the first post? Just to save time sifting through all the posts about how amazing it is

Re: JBK Own IPA/ALE
For my 10th AG brew I fancied something special, so I brewed JBK IPA today. Bit late, but I'm a lazy brewer ;P
I thought I had ordered Progress but... turns out I bought Target instead. The names are not even similar
anyway, replaced Progress with Fuggles.

Re: JBK Own IPA/ALE
Following a bit of a family get-together last week, mine is almost all gone now.
Definitely worth making this one again!

Yes Jim, very definitely worth doing again.Jim wrote:Following a bit of a family get-together last week, mine is almost all gone now.![]()

Sat down at the weekend and poured myself the bottle you very kindly gave me, beautifully clear, lovely colour, perfectly carbonated, superb head producing an enticing aroma. A very well balanced beer that I found difficult to leave alone to expose the same problem as you, it doesn't last very long.
Thanks Jim.
