Someone testing EMP weaponry nearby...
If you're in northamptonshire, i did let one rip earlier that might have caused electronic pulses.

Are you sure it's in celcius? 32 is the melting point of ice in Fahrenheit

i thought that , but its definintely on celcius, maybe its got the two confused . i think i will just get a simple floating one its probably more reliable.

I've been through two digital thermometers which after getting wet constantly read too high. DaaB's had this and managed to dry them out but both of mine were knackered.

yep found it, btw my experiment of a stepped mash vs a striaght one , well i used the stepped mash for this one but in with that amount of grain adding boiling water will not raise the temp enough so you have to try and use the element . this burns the grain then it fails on you during the boil. bottom line is i am never doing a stepped mash again as long as i live it causes too many problems
