Dark Mild Grainbills (reference)

There are several grain bills within it.

What about this one, anyone brewed it or tasted the real thing? Very light + very dark, no mid-section crystal or chocolate. Does it work?

I've had dark Irish ales similar to this, but it doesn't strike me as very mild-ish.

Crouchvale Blackwater Mild
Pale Malt: 94.7%
Roasted Barley: 5.3%

I tried this brew last year. It looked like a stout, very black with an off-white head, but the taste was actually really hoppy in true Crouch Vale style

Even though it was very dark, it didn't strike me as overly roasty, but it had a really smooth body.

I asked Crouch Vale what hops they use in the brew, and they said that use either Challenger or Boadicea.

I'm planning a Dark Mild, so will give this grain bill a go, but intend to use Simcoe as my hop.

Its like a scaled down Guinness without the flaked barley and half the RB. I'd call it a mild dry stout....

Pale: 95%
Invert: 11%
Black: 5%
Caramel: 1%

Greene King XX Mild:
Pale: 80%
Crystal: 12%
Invert: 6%
Black: 1%
Caramel: 1%

Tolly Cobbold Mild:
Pale: 85%
Crystal: 10%
Black: 5%
Caramel: 1%

Adnams XX Mild:
Pale: 70%
Invert: 18%
Torrefied: 7%
Black: 5%

Kirkstall Mild:
Pale: 71%
Invert: 14%
Brown: 4%
Black: 1%

Kyle, in the first Ridley's one should it be 95%? the numbers don't add up
