Courage Directors

My Ken Schwartz fermentation chiller is being tested at the moment so I think I am ready for my next brew. :pink
Just need to find some time - may be an evening brew rather than an overnight mash which I was intending to do.

Courage Directors 25 litre (no efficiency included) 1046

Crushed marris Otter 3kg
Crushed Crystal malt 125g
Barley Syrup 500g
Fuggles 60g
Goldings 30 + 10 +10 g
Light Soft brown sugar 450g

Usual boil for 1.5hours

Requested by the missus' family who drink this for england :beer at their local wetherspoons. Will see how they think it compares.

I think my weeny 25L fermenter is going to look lost in there - its a monster :o .

It looks more professional though than my big bertha immersion chiller

If Dave Line was writing recipes today, I bet he wouldn't include as much sugar!

quick question - the tubing to my spinny sparger had a load of crud in it so soaked in bleach solution overnight then obviously stinks of bleach. soaked it in washing up liquid - now stinks of lemon

I am going to leave in water today - if smell persists is it likely to cause any problems in my brew tonight
