refurmentation

Post by GILBERN » Wed Feb 27, 2008 1:35 am

Hi I'm new to home brewing & I have had a go at the Brewzer kit & I would rather buy my beer from a shop instead of gettin a refill for this kit.Now I have a micro kit,it is the one that has a king keg with top tap & came with Tom Caxton larger mix. I have followed the instructios & I am now waiting to bottle it.
When I bottle it do I put in a little extra sugar again or was this only to be done with the Brewzer kit - I have put in 1K of brewing suger that I got from my local home brew shop. I prefer bitter/ale than larger but the larger came with the kit - I have a Tom Caxton bitter mix readey to brew next time.
Any help would be great
Thanks
Nick

Yes, not sure what the doses are?

I use 1 tsp per 750ml and find this gives good carbonation but not too fizzy.

Hi
I usually disolve about 80g of sugar in boiling water and add this to the wort in the barrel a day before bottling. Its much easier than trying to add sugar to bottles. Just make sure every thing is sterile before use.
