Marvellous Mittelfruh

3375g Muntons Extra Light Spraymalt
120g Hallertaur Mittelfruh Hops (A.A. 4.0)
Saflager Yeast

OG 1044
EBU's 30

Bring 25 Lts water to boil
Add Spraymalt
Return to boil add first hops, and boil for 1.25 Hrs
Add second hops and Irish Moss, continue boil for 15 mins.
Ferment out as normal
Brill !

Hop Regime

95g for 1.25 Hrs
25g for 15 mins

Anyone out there have any dealings with vanguard hops? They are bred from mittlefruh and supposed to be a good substitute, more disease resistant, etc. and close in flavor.
I'm just here for the beer.
