Can you recommend a Cascade brew?

Anyone recommend a Cascade hop brew or mixture of other hops.

I have had a good look, but there are so many, really wanted a nice hoppy brew using around 50g of Cascade.

Might just make my own up.

I recently made a Hollywood IPA which uses loads of cascade plus some northdown for bittering. It was the 2007 CBA Strong Bitter/IPA First Prize winner for Ernie Gallagher and is well worth brewing.

Here's one I've brewed a few times with happy results (19 litres)
4500 gms pale malt
450 gms munich malt
250 gms crystal 40

Bitter with whatever you like. I usually use something clean like Northern Brewer. Then 28 gms Cascade at 15 and 5 minutes left to get to around 38-40 IBU. I also dry hop in the fermenter to get a nice aroma.
I use Wyeast 1272 American Ale II but Fermentis S-05 will work great too.

Here's my SNPA clone, comes out really close to the real thing, requires a few weeks age and some gypsum if you've got soft water, best with lager malt or lower colour MO:

I reckon you'll need to use a bit more than 50g to get the best out of cascade. Townes IPA is a favourite on here and I currently have it on tap. Very nice. My last 23l recipe was;

5500g Pale Malt
220g Wheat Malt
90g Cascade (5.4%) 90mins
30g Cascade (5.4%) 15mins

Came out at 5.2% 42 IBU

I saw the brew name was "American Ale", and some of the articles I have read recently have said that a 1:1 BU/GU (Bitterness Units/Gravity Units) ration is usual for a lot of the more hoppy US type IPAs. Some of the big hop monsters are technically a lot more.......but like Chris says, the bitterness drops over time.

I have an Imperial IPA maturing now that is 105 IBU with a 1080 OG......that's going to be hoppy! Especially as I'm about to bung 25g each or Amarillo and Cascade into the keg to dry hop it tomorrow!

Just seen this - Townes IPA was a big success for me during the summer - very light, quite bitter, lovely cascade flavours . Fermented with US05 (or WLP001) to give a nice clean finish. My brewing notes look like (change water treatment as appropriate):

4.45kg Maris Otter
180g Wheat Malt

Treated water (30L) with 30ml CRS, 1 1/2tsp Gypsum and 1/2 tsp Epsom salts.
Mashed for 1 3/4 hr at 65C and fly sparged.

64g Cascade (5.4%) - 90min
19g Cascade - 15min
Irish Moss 15min

Yeast: US-05 (OG 1044, finished at 1004!!!)

Racked into barrel using two part kieselol finings (kwikclear) - star bright in two weeks, brilliant condition after 5 weeks.
