Does anyone know of the existance of a recipe for Chester's Best Mild?

No sorry, but that must be going back a good few years. I remember Chesters in my youth but thats going back more years than I care to admit to. :shock:

Yes. Probably unavailable since the early 60's.

A friend has commissioned a batch and asked me to track down the recipe.

Chesters best mild goes something like this

Stage 1
pale malt crushed 2500g
choc malt 200g
Torrefied wheat 500g

Stage 2
Golden Syrup 400g
Target hops 30g

O.G 1032/1034
Mash at about 63deg for about 2 hours
I made this about 15 years ago and my tasting notes say Must make again!
I never did.
