Thanks for the suggestions and i intend to proceed as follows on the disorderly inaugral brew
6.2 gallons theoretical result
Heat strike water to 72C
2.5ltrs water to each kilo of grist/grain bill = 16.4
Mash temp = 66C
Mash
5.9 kg/5924 grams of pale malt
592 grams crystal malt
22 grams torrifed wheat
Mash for 90 mins but check at 60 minutes for gravity
Add 1 lb sugar at start of boil along with the first hop addition
Northern brewer 3.5 oz
At 20 minutes remaining at second hop addition
Fuggles 2oz
At 5 minutes prior to flame out add final hop addition
1 oz of cascade
s04 or muntons gold yeast
Any comments or suggestions would be welcomed, incidentally im gonna burtonise the water at a ration of 1 tsp of gypsum ber 2 gallons, does that seem excessive?

it went reasonably well and im planning on doing another of the same soon, gotta test out me new camera when it arrives
