never actually drunk this but fancy making a mild and after looking around in BYOBRA i would like to have a go at this. in the book it is flavoured with fuggles but on the hook norton brewrey site it says that it is dry hopped with goldings.

has anyone made this and what did they do or change from the recipe if anything?

If you've never had it before what difference does it make which hops you use. Either way I am sure it will taste great. Also what is the point of changing a recipe you have never made?

I done the Hooky Bitter and it surpasses the real stuff; in fact... I don't wanna pull another incase the cornie empties before my auld man comes down and has a chance to sample it.

First one dry hopping too and its a cracker!

fair comment. just wanted to see what other people did and what worked. think i will follow the recipe as is and if i keg it i can add some dry hops if i feel its needed.

im always finding myself changing recipes though and i imagine most people change them a bit to their own preferences. like upping or lowering the abv or ebu's.its all part of the fun of home brewing. :)

Sure, I do the same but not until I have followed the recipe once.
