Hi all,
I want to use my homegrown first gold hops next week. Looking to use them late, as i don't know the AA, so i'm really looking at what to combine them with for bittering? I was thinking goldings and fuggles unless anyone has a tried and tested combo they can recommend. Most likely use all pale MO to let the hops shine through, but i know a few of you grow hops, so i'm open to a voice of experience.
Cheers!

Re: How to use homegrown First Gold?
I have the same dilemma for my Challenger hops. My thoughts were to use only my hops but to make an IPA assuming average AA for the variety. It's unlikely that the AA will be above the average and If it turns out well below the average then I will just have a nicely hopped ale. If by chance it turns out well above average the beer may be a little bitter but If that happens I will leave it for a year to mellow and it should be a nice drink by then.

Good luck with that MightyMouth, i made a good all challenger brew a couple of years ago, nice hop that i use a lot for bittering.
