Hi daab I have always used the Almanac to generate recipes,as Protz has obtained information direct from breweries. If anyone would like a particular beer formulated let me know. There is one problem not all breweries have submitted full details.

Yes, I couldnt agree more! I came to this site mostly to get good Bitter recipes. After seeing the first recipe you posted, I went out and ordered the Real Ale Almanac so I could see all of the recipes/ and or info in it. Thanks for posting them!!!

norman, thanks again for these recipes. I just wrote a 10 US gallon version of the XXXB for my brewery. The owner of the local homebrew shop will have a table at a large local beer event in November and I plan to serve it there on hand pump.

I'm across the pond on the US east coast, Providence, RI. If I were in the UK I would be planning to attend Bateman's Beer Festival in November.

I'm going to brew the Bateman's recipe today at the local homebrew shop as a demonstration all-grain brew. It will be served next month at beer show where the shop has a booth.
