I am having a go at Porter for my third AG will be sourcing ingredients for both 2nd AG and this brew this week so just wondered what the experts thoughts are on this and if there are any tweaks or total changes which i should consider ?
16L Brew run (i know)
3000g Optic
200g Brown Malt
200g Chocolate Malt
150g Crystal Malt
100g Torrified Wheat
30g Fuggles 90 Mins
15g Fuggles 15 Mins
Irish Moss 15 Mins
Nottingham Yeast

My favorite hop is goldings, but fuggles go very well with porter.

The use of black malt is tricky, it doesn't take too much to cross the line and end up with a burnt taste in the brew, I think that you can get the appropriate colour from using chocolate malt by its self.Invalid Stout wrote:No black malt?
