Ringwood recipes

I have a good recipe for 49er. I was under the impression that Ringwood would use the same recipe for its other beers and just adjust the strength. Reading the bottle labels for Old Thumper its described as 'deep brown' whereas 49er is described as 'golden brown'. Is this the case.
