Thinking of brewing this tomorrow:
Brew length: approx 46L
7750kg Pale Malt, Marris Otter (from Warminster)
150g Crystal malt
100g Torrified wheat
20L Mash liquor
6 ml conc. HCl treatment
½ Campden tab

Hot Liquor temp: 73ºC
Mash temp: 66ºC
Mash time: 90 mins

25L Sparge water
Sparge temp: 75ºC
Treated with 4ml conc HCl
½ campden tab

Boil time: 90 mins
Hops :
50g Centenial, 11.7% AA (Brupaks 2008) at start of boil
50g Cascade 7.6% AA (Brupaks 2008) at 15 mins before end of boil
50g Centenial, 11.7% AA (Brupaks 2008) at cooldown (steep 15 mins @ ~80C)
50g Cascade 7.6% AA (Brupaks 2008) dryhopped in FV at end of primary fermentation. Leave for two weeks before bottling.

Protafloc last 15 mins
Aiming for OG 1050ish
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham x2

Im aiming for a hoppy APA style brew, but is this too much? I like it hoppy, but dont want to go too nuts and end up with something undrinkably bitter!

Well I went for it. Cheated a bit, adding 500g white sugar for an OG of 1054. Wort doesnt taste overly bitter behind all that unfermented sweetness. Hopefully will be OK.

I thought my last one wasn't very bitter on tasting the wort, though its surprising the amount of sweetness covers the bittering sometimes.
What was your total predicted EBU's ?

47 EBUs according to Beer Engine (with default hop utilization), so not OTT for a strong hoppy brew. I think it partly depends on the condition of the hops used for late additions, ie. whether due to aging etc. there is any pre-isomerisation of the alpha acid resins adding bitterness without the need for boiling. The Beer Engine EBUs dont take this into account. The hops are brupaks vac packed 2008 crop kept in the fridge since I have had them, so hopefully pretty fresh.
