If I can replicate this one, I might just die happy!
Amarillo and Simcoe would certainly give the flavours described in the tasting notes links. Would you suggest 50/50 for both hops for 90 minutes, and for the last 10 minutes?Whorst wrote:I've never had the beer, but from reading about it, I'd use 95% Pale Ale Malt with maybe 5% carapils or light crystal to a starting gravity of 1.060. Hop it with Amarillo and Simcoe to around 35-40 IBU's. Dry hop with 14g of each hop for one week. For yeast, I'd go with UK-05, or Nottingham, if you must.
Thanks, I'll give that a go.Whorst wrote:I think that's a pretty good recipe. I would definitely drop hop it as well.
It just appeared in my local bottle shop for the first time (Saint Louis, Missouri, USA, so a long way from home). Needless to say, I'm very excited. It cost $9 for the single bottle(!), more than I usually like to pay for a six-pack but I gladly paid it in order to harvest their yeast.AnthonyD wrote:All I know is that it's a fantastic pint and I eagerly await any further details...
